Three Lesser-Thought-About Places In Your Office You Need Your Cleaners To Address

Most corporate office cleaning services offer fantastic rates, helpful schedules and warm employees that do great work. However, your corporate office cleaning services can only be as good as you instruct them to be. While they will, of course, do the traditional cleaning work such as vacuuming, emptying the rubbish and cleaning the bathrooms, it is not up to them to point out specific areas that need special attention. Your office has a lot of places that you should remember to mention next time you negotiate a contract with your corporate office cleaning services. Here are a few pointers to get you started in the right direction.

Keyboards

Computer keyboards can actually be havens for bacteria, dirt and all other sorts of nasty things. Think about how much stuff your hands come into contact with every day from your sandwich at lunch to the dirt on your shoelaces. While you may wash your hands fairly regularly, you will never keep your hands completely clean, and even a fraction of the stuff that touches your hands is enough to create a fairly dirty keyboard. A good office cleaning should also include the cleaning of your keyboards to reduce the chances of people getting sick.

Lights

Many lights end up building quite the cemetery of dead insects around them, not to mention that lightbulbs that constantly need changing, especially in large office blocks. You should always try and get your corporate office cleaning services to also deal with your lights with both a general clean and regular changing of the bulbs. Remember that desk lights and lights in the foyer also need attention. The last thing you want is for some of your employees to be unable to work because their office is pitch black and they have no access to replacement light bulbs.

Fridge And Kitchenette

Many offices have a small kitchenette or at least a fridge where employees can put their lunch. Kitchens build up dirt and bacteria faster than other areas of buildings because they are more actively involved with perishable items that can quickly turn bad and cause a health risk. Having your kitchen and fridge cleaned out is essential for a sustainable health office. Also always make sure that you empty and clean out the coffee and tea-making machines. Grime can build up inside the internal mechanisms of these machines, which is the last thing you want plopping into your morning cup of joe.
